Psalm 3:3-4 - "But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.” (NKJV)
This week I started reading Psalms. I have been comforted by the times the Lord reminds me that He is my shield...
I went to my sister’s house in Las Vegas for my annual “sibling” vacation with her and my brother two weeks ago. We always do something that helps the one hosting and this time we were able to do “odd jobs” around the house for my sister who moved into a new place several months ago. On top of that my brother always treats us to some fun outings and at least one very nice dinner. It was such a great time!
Upon my return to church the following Sunday I was struck by the light heatedness I felt as I went about my morning routine. Upon reflection I realized how much I had needed that time away to just unplug and just relax from my normal “day to day” and some of the “cares of the world” that brings with it.
God provided a shield. He lifted my head even when I wasn’t aware of the great need I had for it. He’s such a good God!
Trust In God

Verse 1
Blessed assurance
Jesus is mine
He's been my fourth man in the fire
Time after time
Born of His Spirit
Washed in His blood
And what He did for me on Calvary
Is more than enough
Chorus 1
I trust in God
My Savior
The One who will never fail
He will never fail
Verse 2
Perfect submission
All is at rest
I know the author of tomorrow
Has ordered my steps
So this is my story
And this is my song
I’m praising my risen King and Savior
All the day long
Misc 1
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
(Repeat 2 X's))
That’s why I trust Him
That’s why (I trust Him
