Isaiah 60:19 - "The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light and your God will be your glory…" (NIV)

My favorite time of day is late in the afternoon when the sun is lower in the sky and shines so brightly into my windows. It creates a joy, a melody in my heart that is unexplainable. The other day around this same time I was taking my daughter home and looked up at the sky to a gorgeous sunset. The blues, pinks and yellows were such an incredible mixture of beauty and I was caught up with the same emotion.

This morning I read this passage in Isaiah and it made me think back to these moments of the day and the joy they bring me and I was struck by the fact that there will be a time at the Lord's return when His presence will be that same expression of beauty. His sun/sunsets are a sign of the brightness of His glory! It was such a revelation and brought a smile to my face to be reminded of the hope we have for a new and brighter world!

In My Heart There Rings A Melody

Verse 1
I have a song that Jesus gave me
It was sent from heav'n above
There never was a sweeter melody
'Tis a melody of love

Chorus
In my heart there rings a melody
There rings a melody with heaven's harmony
In my heart there rings a melody
There rings a melody of love

Verse 2
I love the Christ who died on Calv'ry
For He washed my sins away
He put within my heart a melody
And I know it's there to stay

Verse 3
'Twill be my endless theme in glory
With the angels I will sing
'Twill be a song with glorious harmony
When the courts of heaven ring
