Youth Sunday

A week ago we had Youth Sunday here at our church. I always look forward to this because I love seeing the youth shine! This time was no exception! But this time they also blew me away. There were so many of them, and they were so eager and joyful! I was talking to Megan, our youth pastor's wife and I said, "We almost have too many." She replied, "I know, but they were so excited, they all wanted to serve." Later, as I reflected on how wonderful the morning was and how encouraged I was by the joy I experienced from them, this passage came to mind:

"Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiah, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, every one whose heart was stirred to come and do the work. And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing him freewill offerings every morning. Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, 'The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do. So Moses gave a commandment and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying,'Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary,' the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much."
Exodus 36:2–7 NKJV

That's what happened! There were so many of them serving, "—indeed too much."  What a wonderful "problem" to have. In this day of so much opposition to the things of God, it gave me hope for the future.

You won't see all the youth in action; the ushers, greeters, and info center attendants, but if you didn't get to experience it firsthand, I invite you to view the service online:  https://campusbiblechurch.subspla.sh/m6vf3bx

THANK YOU to our Youth for blessing me!
