"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

I don’t know what you are experiencing today, or this week, or what you may experience in the near future. But it is always good to have some scripture to hold onto during times of difficulty. In those times it is easy to sink into ourselves, into our smallness, and as our vision micro-focuses on only what we can see and that troubles us, we can forget just how big our God is.

It is exactly at times like this that we should focus on the promises found in God’s Word like Isaiah 41:10. Promises such as “stand still,” “fear not,” and “be still” are some of my favorites in the Bible. They remind me each time I read them that the battle, the circumstance, the issue, the problem, does not depend on me, but God. We serve a really big God and with all of life’s difficulties it can be easy to forget that. God promises that He will be with us and will strengthen us. How cool is that, the God of the universe, creator of everything we see, the One that has existed from eternity past and will exist forevermore, is with us, and cares about us! So remember today, no matter what you are facing, God is with you! When you are overwhelmed, He isn’t. When you can’t handle it, He can. God is so much bigger than your problems, just remember to go to Him, lean on Him, rely on Him, and He will lift you up with His righteous right hand. Fear not and don’t be dismayed!
