Daily Devotional

There was a day last week I let circumstances get the better of me. I was gearing up for a real “pity party.” I was verging on grumbling but knew I wasn’t having any joy in it. I finally threw up my hands, lifted up my head and said, “Lord, I just need to spend time with you.” And as I went to His Word He started reminding me of what He taught and encouraged me with a few days before…reminding me of the importance of praising Him!! I was finishing up Psalms and the last several chapters I read were all about praising the Lord and how that revives, heals and preserves us! So I went back and re-read those passages and He did just that! He is my God and His Spirit is good! I needed Him to blow His breath of life into me and expand His Spirit to the crevices of my “poor me” heart and remember who I am living for and see things through the lens of His eyes. My Creator spoke and, “It was good.”
