Romans 15:13

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

I am realizing the amazing work of the Holy Spirit these days and why Jesus said, “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” John 16:7 and “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” Acts 1:7

I know and believe that the Spirit is part of the Trinity but lately I continue to learn more and more about the amazing gift the Spirit offers. Without Jesus leaving us His Spirit we would be missing out on the ability to understand the Word of God and our access to the power to live in the manner He calls us to. It is through the Spirit that we have the mind of Christ and without the Spirit we can’t understand that mind…

It causes me to understand why the natural or carnal mind can be so blinded to the things of God and instructs me to stop trying to “fix it” when confronted by opposition to the things of God …unless it is with the understanding that it will only be “fixed” by the wisdom of the
indwelling Spirit of the Trinity. It takes the pressure off my inability and places my hope where it belongs, the power of the Holy Spirit.

“But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered in the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?

Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

For

“Who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.
