Matthew 12:35-37
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
So many times in the last couple of weeks I have had to ask the Lord to forgive me for opening my mouth about something that I didn’t need to say, comment on or bring up. A friend of mine recently shared an acronym she had heard from her pastor. After reading this passage and needing to go before the Lord in confession, I have been trying to keep this in the forefront of my mind. WAIT…Why Am I Talking!
