Luke 12:32

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.

When’s the last time you stepped into 6 feet of fresh powder snow? I did recently, where the snow was so deep that I had to crawl on my hands and knees just to traverse about 30 feet! I was amazed at the delicate provision of God as I experienced it up close, away from the smog and noise of city life. Seeing again the wonder in one simple snowflake, then multiplied by 1 trillion, is simply the gracious Father‘s intent to communicate love and assure we have water in the summertime, after the snow and rain have ceased. In fact, seeing a snow flake abundance on that scale is so wonderful, that a youthful joy seems to emerge where you just want to dive into it and make a fabulous snow angel! It’s like the simplicity of being a child loved by their Heavenly Father, and we experience joy, creativity, and provision all wrapped together in one.

Though now we’re walking through seasons of much pressure that often don’t feel like “snow angels” moments,  God is still the faithful Father who is taking care of us, before we even asked. I would thus assume we can trust Him with more urgent matters, in light of the joy and provision of mountains filled with new fresh snow flakes and the joy of snow angel moments to come.
