Isaiah 26:3-4

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

In life, there are many situations that create stress because of the fear of the unknown. Unless we allow God to handle these situations we will soon find ourselves overwhelmed. It is easy for us to say the words, “God is in control of my life,” but it is entirely another matter to let Him have total control of every area of our life. If the center of our life is disorganized, life’s complexities will produce burnout, breakdowns or blowups. Only as we trust the Lord with the control of our lives will we be able to handle the situations that life throws at us. Without this inner support our lives will disintegrate in the midst of all the pressures.

Today we should not try to go through life without God’s help. We cannot stand-alone. God has not designed us that way. He has designed us to lean on him. Today, what are you leaning on? God is the only One we can fully trust to support us during troubling times.
