"When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.” Joshua 3:2b-4

This season has been very difficult in many ways. But the Lord encouraged me so much by this passage. At first I wondered why they weren’t supposed to come too near the Ark of the Covenant and why they were to keep it in front of them? The Ark of the Covenant was where they kept the Ten Commandments. To me, it’s a picture of the Word of God today.

My answer was in the next sentence…so you would know the way to go by following after it. And they needed to follow after it because they had not passed that way before. I’m in a place that I have not walked before and I love that the Lord is saying to me, “Follow Me (My Word), keep Me in your sights, I will show you the way to go.” I have a REALLY BIG GOD, and He loves me so much that He won’t let me get lost.
