"For the pillars of the earth are the LORD' S, and He has set the world upon them." 1 Samuel 3:8b

The other day during a prayer time a friend reminded us of the words in Isaiah, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty. The whole earth is full of His glory." She encouraged me so much in her prayer of reminder that in the midst of all the "yuk" of what we have lived in this past year and the sadness we see all around us, disease, ungodliness, anger... we need to be reminded that the earth IS full of the glory of God. He hasn't left us, His glory is all around us and we need to look for it and proclaim it!

I have realized lately how much fear governs my actions...fear of rejection, fear of being misunderstood, fear of not being able to express my thoughts clearly and being bulldozed by the knowledge and articulation of others. It can stifle me to inaction and hide behind "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces” (Matthew 7:6). And although at times this may be the right path to take, it is often my excuse in response to my fear.

Satan loves to distract us with our weaknesses so that we forget who we are in Christ. When I take my mind off my fear and place it on the BIGNESS of God it causes me to remember that "I am in Christ, a new creation". "Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world!" "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." "Perfect love casts out fear."

Because of this, I choose to believe that my faith and confidence will grow and my fear will subside as I  proclaim, "The earth is full of His glory!" " He governs the foundation of the earth that holds it in place! "We have a BIG GOD!"
