John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I often need to be reminded of God’s love for me. Don’t you?

God loves you.

God became incarnate for you.

God lived for you.

God died for you.

God rose for you.

God is glorified for you.

God is exalted for you.

God reigns for you.

God is coming back to Earth for you.

God will have you be with Him in Heaven … forever!

Yes, indeed, God loves you.

However…

However, we often know these things theologically but we don’t “feel” them in daily life.

Sometimes I don’t “feel” like God loves me.

When things don’t go right, or when I make mistakes, or sin, I often “feel” like God doesn’t love me. Or, at least, He doesn’t love me as “much” as He could.

But that’s unholy self-talk.

That’s an error in judgment.

That’s the weakness of the flesh, the peer pressure of the world, the assaulting arrows of the evil one.

Theology trumps feelings.

Say it with me: “Theology trumps feelings.”

The Bible says it so I believe it. He died and paid the penalty for EVERY SIN I HAVE EVER COMMITTED OR WILL EVER COMMIT. Therefore, He doesn’t “love me less” in times of my weakness.

The same goes for you, my friends!

God loves, loves, loves you!
