Acts 9:15

But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel."

Acts 9 is about the miracle of transformation from Saul of Tarsus to "Brother Paul".

It takes us on his dramatic journey...
•From breathing threats and murder to breathing prayer and praise.
•From laying hateful hands on people to people laying healing hands on him.
•From being a persecutor under the priests' authority to being a chosen instrument under
God's authority.
•From a self-imposed mandate to inflict suffering to a call from God-imposed mandate to suffer for the gospel.
•From "Who are you, Lord [Jesus]?" to telling everyone "[Jesus] is the Son of God" and THE Christ (the promised Messiah).
•From being feared by people to being an amazement to people.
•From threatening to murder Christians to receiving murderous threats by the priests.
•From causing chaos to bringing peace.
•From seeking to destroy the Church to building up the Church.
•From Jesus' disciples running from him to Jesus' disciples protecting him.
•From stifling the gospel to the Jews to making it possible to spread the gospel to the Gentiles (starting with Peter's ministry to Cornelius in Acts 9:32-10:1ff.).

If the Risen Christ can do this for Saul, He can do it for anyone. In the words of the old hymn; "What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought, since Jesus came into my heart." May that be the song of our heart, as well.
