2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high things that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

As I have had the opportunity to hear the many ways God has been moving and speaking to others in our choir, along with Pastor Charles’s sermon this past Sunday, I am reminded of the certainty of Jesus’ imminent return (about to happen, close at hand) as confirmed in 1 Corinthians 15:51, ”Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." It’s a warning to be watching and waiting, knowing that it will happen and we need to be ready and telling others. But it’s also our hope as well. Colossians 3:1-3 “Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above and not on the things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”  Jesus expresses He is going to share His return with us and let us appear WITH Him. It’s amazing that He is going to allow us to share this glorious moment! Our God has invited us to to appear with Him as He is revealed victorious!! So, as we deal with a pandemic and injustice, remember ... Keep your mind focused on the truth, “...always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…” 1 Peter 3:15.
