Psalm 46:1
"God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble."
Some people bunker, many are isolating, but how do you refuge? You can actually do it physically, emotionally, & spiritually. But the question is, how are you refuging right now? Is it in panic from fear? Is it escaping with a regular diet of media and social media? Or is it with a deep dependency on the promises of God as a shelter for a weary soul? For thousands of years, our faithful Lord has been a “bulwark never failing,” as Martin Luther penned in the hymn “A Mighty Fortress is our God.” He’s tested and true, and His word is sure. And it’s this God who invites us to find refuge in Him today, with a promise that He is “ever present in trouble.” Are you or those around you experiencing trouble? Then join me in this time of refuge, in finding deep comfort and power as we refuge in God.
