“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (NLT) – Matthew 28:19-20

JUNIOR HIGH SPRING BREAK OUTREACH
March 22-29, 2013
[toggle title="learn more"]
The week just before Easter, the Junior High ministry heads down to Mexicali, Mexico to partner with a local church, El Tiemplo Jireh, pastored by Abraham and Carolina Placeres, to encourage and supplement their local ministry. While our main focus is to stay local and be missional primarily in the Fresno/Clovis area, this trip is a great opportunity for anyone to get exposure to the larger body of Christ and do kingdom work in a different environment.
We stay in a base camp in the Mexicali Valley with anywhere from 900-1,500 other people from churches and groups from around the nation, even including Canada. At the camp we have chapel in the morning and evening, all our food is taken care of and our provisions are watched over.
During the day we are on our own to serve at our local church. We do construction as well a vacation bible school program for the elementary-aged kids. The construction project continues each year, working off of building plans that they have drawn up in years past.
It is a value of ours to have a relational ministry that invests in people and not programs, which is why there has been a long-term partnership with this particular local church for the past decade.
If any of these things have tickled your fancy or nudged your soul, please do not hesitate to email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Information Meeting is typically held late November, early December to brief for the trip and Team Meetings begin mid-January.
