CityFest & CityServe

Fresno CityFest is a regionwide evangelistic campaign focused on serving the city and proclaiming the Good News. It came about as a result of months of prayer and planning by hundreds of leaders from the faith, business, and civic communities in Fresno and the surrounding valley. They had a vision to see the Christian community come together in unity, service, and proclamation.

This campaign is focused on encouraging unity and collaboration across all communities, denominations, and ethnicities. Together, as the Body of Christ, we want to celebrate and accelerate the work of the Church over the long term, helping further influence culture, change lives, and inspire other cities to do the same.

Imagine … People mobilized all over Fresno and the Central Valley Collaboration among civic, church, and corporate leaders Celebrations of hope on a grand scale!

Fresno CityFest – April 1-2, 2017 | SaveMart Center parking lot

What is CityFest?

These free, family-friendly festivals engage every level of the community, from civic leaders to church congregations. They demonstrate the love of Jesus and proclaim His Good News on a massive scale. They incorporate great music, great fun, jaw-dropping action sports demos, a Family Fun Zone, prison outreaches, and powerful affinity events for many sectors of society. And through it all, Luis and Andrew Palau will share the clear message of Jesus Christ in a relevant and authentic way.

The festival will no doubt draw the attention of many and mobilize many Christians to pray for their unbelieving friends and invite them to know Jesus. Through it all, our goal as the body of Christ is to effectively share the eternal hope found in Jesus.

The CityFest Weekend will be held April 1-2, 2017 at the SaveMart Center.

Special guests will include Luis Palau, Andrew Palau, For King & Country, Marisol Park, Lincoln Brewster, Lecrea, Soulfire Revoluation, Family Fun Zone, FMX and BMX Demos, and Fitness Competition featuring Rich Froning (crossfit games champion)

What is CityServe?

With the festival acting as a catalyst, the Christian community will be mobilized through an effort known as CityServe. Working in partnership with Serve Fresno, this effort will foster greater unity among churches, businesses, organizations, and city leaders, challenging followers of Christ to serve their neighbors and pray for those who don’t yet know Jesus.

This powerful initiative will bless the city through dozens of major service projects taking place in the months leading up to the festival. Focusing on the community’s most critical needs, as defined by local churches, CityServe gives the Christian community the opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s unconditional love and compassion for the city while also clearly proclaiming the Good News.

We welcome you to come for a night of interactive learning where you will be inspired, equipped and activated as “friends of the festival”.  This means that you will identify people where you live, work, learn and play who don’t yet know Jesus, learn to pray for them, to identify what the next best step is to share your faith and to find the courage to share about Jesus.  You will complete the training to help with those responding to Jesus at the upcoming CityFest events.  Come with your family, your small group, your friendship circle and learn together.  It is time for Fresno and Clovis to meet Jesus . . . through you!
