AWANA Clubs

AWANA is a nondenominational, Bible-centered program for children. Through Awana, we seek to minister to boys and girls and their families with the gospel of Christ and help them to live Christ-honoring lives. AWANA Club places an emphasis on outreach, prayer, evangelism, scripture memorization, small group relationships and fun. It is our confidence that as families learn more about the depth of God’s love for them, they will respond by living a life that is holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1) and will boldly impact their world and beyond (Matthew 28:19-20).

Cubbies | 3s & 4s

Cubbies is the AWANA Club for preschoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten (usually 3 and 4-year-olds). Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains the parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process.

Cubbies uses fundamental AWANA elements of Bible memorization, handbooks, awards, and activities. Developmentally appropriate lessons and activities combine basic Bible truths with popular preschool concepts of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.

Sparks | K-2nd Grade

Sparks is the AWANA Club for lively kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders. Each Club session is divided into three segments. During Green Meadow Time, Sparks gather for their Bible lesson.

During Sparkle Time, clubbers complete handbook sections. In Game Time, Sparks enjoy games played on the AWANA Game Circle. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.

Truth & Training | 3rd-6th Grade

Truth & Training AWANA Club is for 3rd-6th grade boys and girls. The T&T theme uses Bible-based material to lead student into an exciting adventure of the Word of God.

The Club meeting consists of Council Time, when all clubbers get together for applicable Bible teaching, Handbook Time, when boys and girls meet in small groups to complete their handbook sections, and Game Time, when games are played on the AWANA Game Circle.

AWANA Grand Prix

Every year, boys and girls, with their parent’s help, build cars of every description. The construction of the car is intended to be a parent and child project with the child doing the majority of the work. The parent should supply the advice and limited assistance with the more difficult tasks. Please remember that the Awana Grand Prix is supposed to be fun for all. Get started early. Take your time building and testing your car. Plan to spend at least 4 to 6 hours building the car over several days.

Bible Quiz

Bible Quizzing is the Scripture memory counterpart to the physical, game-oriented AwanaGames™.

Bible Quizzing is open to young people in third through 6th grade. This event motivates students to increase their Bible knowledge while giving participants, leaders and even parents an intense exposure to Scripture. Bible Quizzing tests students’ knowledge of material in handbooks and manuals and provides individual recognition and awards.

Bible Quizzing stimulates Scripture memorization and review at every club and youth program level. It also motivates students to stay up-to-date in their handbooks and manuals. Young people memorize more verses, complete more handbooks and comprehend more Bible truths with the incentive of making their church’s Bible Quiz team and competing for honors at the local, regional and national level. As students spend more time preparing for Bible Quizzing, their parents also become exposed to the truths of God’s Word. Bible Quizzing also promotes fellowship between Awana programs in the same church as well as other Awana-registered churches.

Adopt-a-Club

No matter what country they’re from, children’s needs are pretty much the same. They need to be loved. They need to learn and grow. They need adults to care for them.

Unfortunately, many kids have never heard the Savior’s precious gospel message. They live without the hope that only Christ can offer.

Through the Adopt-A-Club program, Awana is reaching children around the world with God’s wonderful plan of salvation.

Thousands of churches overseas see Awana as an extremely effective means for leading kids and families to Jesus Christ. But there are many more that can’t afford to start and run clubs. In short, they need our help. Our club can meet this critical need through Adopt-a-Club.

For just $240 a year, we can provide 10 or more children with Awana materials that enable them to participate in Awana. We will do this in a few different ways! We’ll have a penny contest, and we’ll also send home a slotted quarter booklet for the children to fill. Each child who fills the quarter booklet will earn an Adopt-a-Club badge.
