33rd Annual Campus Coastal Challenge

What is it? A wonderful weekend of camping in a beautiful setting. On Saturday, ride approximately 20 miles at your own pace on a bike trail overlooking the ocean to Fisherman’s Wharf, through Cannery Row and along the coast. Sunday is for your own enjoyment.
The Monterey Peninsula When is it? August 11-13, 2017 Cost: $50 per person/$25 if under 12 years of age. Recruit someone who has not attended before and receive a $6 credit per person in your group (up to 4). More days, you say? People can’t get enough of the cool weather.  For those who want an additional day, come join the rest of us early birds for an additional day of fellowship and relaxation. Please contact Jon to inquire about the additional cost that is not included in the cost above. Lodging: Marina Dunes RV Campground. Some RV spots are available. Please inquire if you are interested. If you are interested in staying in a hotel, there are a couple just down the street. Meals: Friday evening we serve hamburgers and hot dogs, with beans, potato and macaroni salad and chips. Saturday is a continental breakfast. Lunch is a deli sandwich buffet with fresh fruit, soup, cookies and chips at George Washington Park in Pacific Grove. Dinner is Santa Maria Tri Tip with all the trimmings. On Sunday, a full breakfast will be served by the Coastal Challenge Chefs.

Daytime Temperature: In Monterey: approx. 68-72 degrees. In Fresno: 100+ What if I am not interested in riding a bike. Can I still come? Yes. You do not have to ride a bike to attend. We can use assistance with support vehicles, or just come with us to enjoy the cool weather and great fellowship!
